We’re currently seeking a reliable and experienced Small Engine Technician to handle the repair and maintenance of a wide range of equipment, including:
*Lawnmowers (walk-behind, riding, zero-turn)
*Chainsaws, leaf blowers, and trimmers
*Generators and pressure washers
*Snowblowers
*Other gasoline and battery powered equipment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:.
*The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment repair and maintenance, particularly with small engines
*Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic, preferably in small engine repair
*Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and service bulletins
*Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
*Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment relevant to small engine repair
*Performing necessary repairs and replacements of parts.
*Conducting routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
*Sharpening blades and making necessary adjustments.
*Accurately diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems on various small engine makes and models
*Maintaining detailed records of all work performed.
*Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
*Communicating clearly with customers about repair options and timelines.
*Ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
*Need your own basic tools and tool box
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:
*You must have a positive, can-do attitude
*Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
*Be flexible to work Saturdays when needed or required
*High School Diploma or equivalent education
*Proven experience as a Small Engine Technician Certificate in small engine repair from a recognized institution preferred and or minimum of 2 years of experience working as a small engine technician.
*A solid understanding of both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine principles.
*The ability to interpret service manuals and technical diagrams.
*Skill in using various diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
*Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
*A strong focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills.
*A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
